![]() ![]() > No Circle Of Slaughter or arena kind of thing > Hammerlock's stuff was funnier in vanilla game > Rather mediocre core questline, with bad pacing and a phoned in scenario > Introduction of utterly broken hitbox enemies and frustrating mechanics, leveraged to the extremes in Tina's later on > Completing an all-siren two-player OP8 Dex run when he was supposed to be glitched and unkillable (in your face Bahroo) > Witty humour instead of heaps of banana split brobro jokes, mocking german contemporary cinema to name one - constant chuckle during Dietmar Von Henrichzimmerschneitz quest line. > A lot of new enemy models instead of shameless retextures (Scalyons, Spore's etc) > A lot of fantastic gear, super duper cool and useful RR shield, almighty Interfazor and Twister shotties and the Leadstorm which is one of the very few actually viable ARs in the game > My absolutely favourite enemy nonsense gibberish banter (terrrr-naaa !!!, waga-chaga-chee !!! and last but not least: CHILAZAKA !) > Amazing setting and fantastic atmosphere, Hunter's Grotto is definitely among the best locations in Borderlands series Things I loved about Hammerlock's DLC are: ![]() I think you get it from Ellie in the Dust from the mission "Positive Self Image". Just a word of advice, the Afterburner relic is neccessary to complete a couple of the side missions. The Slow Hand (end game) is probably the best elemental shotgun the game has to offer and the Kitten from Moxxie is a decent spamming AR. Plus you'll gain access to the Harold, Nukem, Flakker, Kerblaster, Bonus Package, and Rolling Thunder (vending machines). But now that you're going through Torgue you'll have a blast as it truly is the funniest of the four. Tiny Tina is the masterpiece in the entire inventory so you've reached the mountain peak within the dlc quadrilogy. The dlc is just a cornucopia of goodies and farming goodness. The queen mother of all sniper rifles in the game. ![]() Plus the side missions include the Sandhawk, Rapier, and the blessed Pimpernel. Pirate's Booty just had more eye candy and Hyperious, probably the most farmed raid boss who drops the game's entire inventory including the Norfleet. Spawning Ohmd Ohmd Ohk (OOO) is actually a real challenge and that shotgun is a blast to use with Gaige. The one unique I forgot to mention in Hammerlock was the Twister shotgun. I just ran to the rock overhang to the side and spammed him to death. I agree 100% Leviathan was an absolute joke of an end boss. Vorac however is without a doubt the coolest raid boss while Dexi is a straight up joke and waste of time. A drab and sterile environment that didn't really inspire much in the way of aesthetics. This dlc in general was the least appealing overall. Out of the whole mix the Rough Rider and Interfacer are the two items I continued to farm for. The rest like the Breath of Seraph's, Lead Storm, and Infection are all underwhelming which explains their availability in a vending machine. The Interfacer is without a doubt the CC killer and rules the dps roost within the Hyperion class of shotguns. The Hawkeye is a decent dedicated ranged weapon for popping domes and that's about it. The Seraph items are decent enough especially the two that drop from Vorac. The Rex (Bulstoss) is a decent pistol / revolver but the fire rate is painfully slow. The Hydra (Rouge) is actually a badass shotty worth adding to any backpack. The Damned Cowboy (Bloodtail) is just another crappy AR among the sea of crappy AR's in the game. The Chopper (Dexi) seems like more of a gimick weapon like the Bane. The Elephant Gun (Arizona) is a non starter for me with a missing scope. The Yellow Jacket (Jackenstein) is a decent smg similar to a rare Plasma Caster in the main game. But the rest of the uniques are hit and miss. Well the Rough Rider is reward enough for this dlc, its an amazing shield like no other (except the Blockade maybe). ![]()
