I've only made a single weapon using mithril, but I can share what it did. So I've played with the ideas of weapons made of mithril as being adaptable for different situations. Adamantine improves the existing abilities of whatever it has (preventing crits as armor or causing them as weapons), while mithril seems to be more about changing (armor being abnormally light and not noisy), plus it doesn't help that adamantine reminds me of adamant. I've always kinda thought of mithril and adamantine as sort of opposites. I know this topic is a little bit old now, but I wanted to share my thoughts on mithril weapons.
